When in use, it absorbs the torque and power output of the measured machinery through the electromagnetic effects generated by the eddy current ring. However, it is important to know that maintenance of some mechanical equipment is crucial to ensure that the dynamometer can operate stably and normally for a long time. So how should the maintenance of the eddy current dynamometer be carried out?

It is also recommended to perform maintenance every three months, focusing on the vibration and concentricity of the eddy current dynamometer. A vibration meter can be used to measure the vibration of various components; a micrometer can be used to check the coaxiality. During maintenance, water pressure control should also be checked. Maintenance should be performed every three months, with the main repair point being whether the water pressure switch is functioning. The method is to open the inlet valve and measure the pressure, checking if the switch contacts have output. The maintenance points for external cables include appearance and connections. Check if the cable sheath is broken; if the joints are loose or rusty; and if there is dust on the terminal components. The cooling water should be maintained with the flow of cooling water, which can be measured with a flow meter.

  When cleaning, the eddy current dynamometer needs to dissolve the cleaning agent in a stainless steel barrel in proportion. Then, close the inlet and outlet valves of the dynamometer, and loosen the inlet and outlet pipes. Next, install the hose connector and connect the hose. Note that the outlet of the dynamometer should be connected to the outlet of the cleaning pump. After completing all these operations, you can loosen the screws at the lower end of the filter at the inlet of the dynamometer and remove the filter screen, then tighten the screws and reinstall the filter screen after cleaning. Then start the cleaning pump for circulation cleaning. Note that the cleaning agent for the eddy current dynamometer should be used for 4-6 hours, and 5% organic acid should be used for 1-1.5 hours. After cleaning, drain the cleaning agent, rinse the residual liquid with clean water, and neutralize with a neutralizing solution. Then reconnect the inlet and outlet pipes and the filter screen. During the maintenance of the eddy current dynamometer, it is also necessary to check the fasteners to prevent loosening. If there is any looseness, tighten them again. If there is any damage, it should be replaced in a timely manner; calibrate the dynamometer body; correct the arm to prevent bending and deformation; weights should be placed correctly to avoid collision and friction, and rust should be checked regularly.
