After the brake applies the excitation current, the torque is applied to the tested motor through the analysis of the rotor between the inner and outer stators. At the same time, the slight deflection of the brake causes the torque sensor to generate micro-strain. The torque sensor converts the torque signal into an electrical signal, while the speed sensor converts the speed signal into an electrical signal. The measurement values are displayed in the digital torque and speed display instrument, with the output power displayed on the monitor after conversion by the microcomputer. The magnetic powder dynamometer can be used for load testing, efficiency testing, temperature rise testing, and locked rotor testing.

  The performance advantages of the magnetic powder dynamometer are as follows:

  1. The magnetic powder dynamometer uses a magnetic powder brake, which is characterized by small size, light inertia, stable braking, no impact, and low noise, making it suitable for testing low-speed and high-speed motors.

  2. The whole machine has high sensitivity, good load torque, and stability, with a brushless slip ring technology structure, ensuring a long service life.

  3. It uses a liquid crystal display to simultaneously show voltage, current, power, power factor, frequency, torque, speed, output power, and efficiency. The operation is simple, and the setup is convenient.

  Before testing with the magnetic powder dynamometer, install the motor to be tested. During installation, adjust the lifting steel plate according to the height of the control motor. Pay attention to coaxiality to avoid additional bending moments caused by sensor deformation. When there is a bending moment, it not only reduces the accuracy of the system test results but can also lead to damaged and deformed shafts in certain special cases. The specific method: first connect the motor without fixing the motor base, and smoothly rotate the sensor and motor by hand without any slight movement. When rotating, the hand should feel smooth. If coaxiality cannot be achieved, adjust the lifting steel plate until it meets the requirements. Finally, tighten the system motor and the lifting structure steel plate bolts.
