What are the precautions for using a magnetic powder dynamometer?

The magnetic powder dynamometer consists of a stator, solid rotor, excitation coil, magnetic powder medium, support, base plate, etc. When the internal coil of the magnetic powder dynamometer passes current, it generates a magnetic field, causing the internal magnetic powder to align along the magnetic field lines, forming a magnetic chain. The tension generated by the magnetic powder chain becomes the resistance that prevents the rotor from rotating, which is the load torque. By changing the excitation current, the load torque can be adjusted. It is suitable for testing motors in the medium-low speed or medium-high torque range and can provide significant torque at zero speed. This includes applications such as starting motors with constant torque under load, asynchronous motors, DC geared motors, single-phase asynchronous motors, electric vehicle motors, and constant tension control used in industries like papermaking and textiles.
 
Both the magnetic powder dynamometer and the eddy current dynamometer use water cooling, with a maximum testing power of up to 14KW.
